Mongabay mourns the loss of Ochieng’ Ogodo, our East Africa Editor

We are deeply saddened to report the unexpected death of Ochieng’ Ogodo, who was the East Africa editor for Mongabay. He passed away in Nairobi, Kenya, at the age of 64 early on Thursday morning. Ochieng’ reportedly suffered from sudden and intense chest pain at around 2:00 a.m. local time and was quickly taken to Mama Lucy Hospital according to his family.
