Leica Geosystems had a busy April as they announced partnerships with six construction equipment manufacturers for various machines and services. The collaborating OEMs include Develon, Dynapac, Hyundai, Kobelco, LiuGong, and Shantui.

Develon will now offer Leica’s MC1 3D machine guidance system as a retrofit option for their latest excavator models, integrating with Develon’s sensors and systems. Dynapac’s auto-steering and screed-edge control features on the SD25 and XD25 Highway Pavers will be compatible with Leica’s iCON pave solution. Hyundai Construction Equipment will provide Leica’s MC1 3D machine guidance systems as a retrofit option for their next-gen excavators.

Kobelco has collaborated with Leica and Welsh tech provider Xwatch Safety Solutions to optimize Kobelco’s K-DIVE remote operation system for the European market. LiuGong will streamline the installation of Leica’s Geosystems MC1 3D system on specific excavator models in Europe and factory-fit hardware for future integration with MC1 3D control systems. Shantui’s SE215, SE20, SE58SR excavators, and DH20M dozer will now have aftermarket machine control installation kits available from Leica for swift installation of MC1 3D machine control solutions.
