Buford, a 6-year-old Anatolian Pyrenees, became a hero after helping to rescue a missing 2-year-old boy in Seligman, Arizona. The boy was found safe after disappearing the day before from his home, which was 7 miles away from Buford’s owner Scotty Dunton’s ranch. Dunton, impressed by Buford’s actions, rewarded the loyal dog with a 2-pound rib-eye steak. The rough terrain and harsh conditions in the area made Dunton fear for the boy’s safety, but he was relieved when Buford led the child back to the ranch. Despite doubts from others, Dunton confirmed that the determined toddler walked the entire way back with Buford by his side.
