The Municipality of Fuengirola is distributing complimentary energy-saving kits to support local small businesses and promote responsible power consumption habits in the city of Andalusia. The initiative aims to assist SMEs in cutting down on energy costs and enhancing profitability. These kits include smart devices like a tablet, programmable switches, plugs, climate sensors, and control systems to help manage energy efficiently. The city council’s innovation councilor, Isabel González, highlighted the importance of boosting commercial activities in Fuengirola. This effort is part of the ‘Fuengirola + Viva’ project, which is being financed through the EU’s Next-Generation Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan to revitalize commercial sectors in tourist areas.
