According to officials, two New York State troopers were attacked by a suspected female car thief in a violent incident near Buffalo on Saturday afternoon. The altercation took place at Crosby’s Gas Station in Bolivar around 3:25 p.m. as the officers tried to apprehend the driver of a stolen vehicle. The suspect resisted arrest and ended up stabbing one trooper above the eye and the other in the head. The police stated that one of the troopers discharged their firearm but did not hit the suspect. The alleged thief was apprehended with minor injuries. The trooper who was stabbed above the eye was hospitalized in serious condition at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. The investigation into the incident is ongoing. Bolivar, located south of Buffalo, is a quiet town in Western New York.
